Why Teach Aqua Yoga

If you're an aquatics professional or a yoga teacher, aqua yoga is a natural modality to add to your offerings.

  • Expand Your Income

As a yoga teacher, aqua yoga can reduce the seasonality of your income. Lots of teachers face student declines during the summer - summer is the busiest season for aqua yoga and expands your offerings to more locations and more people.

  • Expand Who You Serve

There's a huge percentage of the population who is not well served by traditional mat yoga - aqua yoga is accessible to them. Aqua yoga is kinder on your body to teach as an aquatics professional and expands your offerings.

  • Expand Your Skillsets

Working in the medium of water expands your teaching skills and makes you a better teacher of land yoga. Adding aqua yoga to existing aquatics programs helps you bring in new clients and offer existing clients new classes.

Words from teachers I've trained

“Far beyond expectations! This is by far the best online instruction I have ever experienced! I highly recommend this course and any course Christa offers. It was incredibly organized with several modalities to learn the info. The platform, reading, recorded videos, live classes, Facebook page. There is an abundance of info and Christa is so accessible to answer questions, etc." ”

Mary Beth

“As a seasoned Aqua Yoga Practitioner, Christa's on-line course offered an avenue to broaden my knowledge and work with like-minded professionals. The course reflects Christa's personal approach, delivered in a sympathetic and caring way.

The platforms used - video clips/written documents/links to studies and research, plus live meetings with other course participants makes for an interactive way to learn. This is not a course you'll want to rush through but to dip back into to refresh and re-energise your practices. For those new to aquatic exercise, it offers a firm foundation into a rewarding career.”

Aqua Yoga Teacher

Carol Anne

“The course exceeded my expectations!
It's my third aqua yoga course and by far the best. Your attention to detail and specificity, your videos doing each pose in conjunction with the written directions, variations, teaching tips and pictures, all created a very comprehensive course. ”

People I've worked with

You want to work with someone who's a leader in the field who has a track record of teaching and supporting others as they step up

“Even if it is messy, just do it! The course work is presented as audio, video, written as well as personal face to face with Christa. Her explanations are true to every aspect of working with people in a pool setting.

How do you clearly, effectively instruct a group of participants about water safety, exercise efficiency, safety and fun all at the same time? Christa touches on all of these aspects of Aqua Yoga in a very accessible way.

If you have been an aqua fitness or aquatics professional, Christa introduces an entire new realm to your tool box. The course work is not overwhelming. I feel very confident with my new skills to provide Aqua Yoga practice to willing participants.”
